Kava is the traditional drink of the locals. Kava is neither alcohol nor any kind of drug. It is nothing else than a dried, crushed root, which is remixed with water.
But the locals, they love it. They drink it for official ceremonies or just at night to socialize. Most of the strangers don't really like the strong taste.
